I've had a Toshiba 15"" pill computer laptop & I've had an ASUS netbook. ASUS Eee PC combines the most effective of each. it's the smaller, lighter type issue of a netbook, and the pliability of the touchscreen and pill functionality. There are some of downsides. If you are used to an earlier XP pill OS, the Win seven OS and software has variations. So, there'll be a learning curve. Second, when you are using the T101 as a netbook, there is a vary of positions where the hinge doesn't hold the screen in position. Using the netbook on your lap is a smaller amount than ideal. ASUS might have redesigned the hinge with some rubber items to use the pressure to carry the screen in position the least bit angles. It holds well at desk/tabletop angles & pill use, simply not the additional extreme angles needed for lap use as a netbook.
